The Challenges and Opportunities of Incorporating Diverse Populations in Multi-omics Research

Multi-omics research has brought about new advances in precision medicine. However, it also has the potential to widen existing health disparities. It is critical to consider the role of diverse populations in multi-omics research when designing studies to advance precision health.

Dr. Seyerle is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina where her research focuses on the molecular etiology of adverse drug reactions and variable drug response. A critical focus of her work is the inclusion of diverse populations to expand the impact of precision health advances.
